Morris Austein age 95 of Amityville, NY passed away on May 29, 2013. Morris is predeceased by his beloved wife Myrtle, and is survived by his loving daughters Beth and Dale, his adored grandchildren Holly and Erica (Dan), as well as his cherished great grandchildren Jennie, Emilienne, and Danica. Morris was a proud WWII Army Verteran who was part of the first wave that landed in Normandy on D-DAy. He served in combat infantry and received such heroic awards as the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Unit Citations. May his memory be eternal. Funeral services will be held at IJ Morris, Dix Hills on Friday May 31, 2013 commencing at 12:00pm, with interment to immediately follow at the Wellwood Cemetery in Pinelawn, NY. Shiva will be observed at the home of Beth Longo, Friday following services, and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans Association.
