Ahlers, Muriel Joyce, 87 passed away early Sunday morning in a Raleigh, NC nursing home. She was born and lived in Knoxville, TN most of her life. She was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church until she moved to the nursing home in Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Alice and Bill Sweet and her daughter Lynne Bowling. Mrs. Ahlers is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pam and Bob Hickman of Raleigh, NC, two grandsons, Tommy Ahlers of Salem, NH and Brad Hickman of Greenville, NC. and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Wednesday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. The graveside service will be 10 am Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300W. Adair Dr. Condolences may be offered at www.lynnhurstchapel.com
