While attending secretarial school, Buddie caught the eye of young Robert as their paths often
crossed on budding Charlotte streets. Before long, they were married and the proud parents of two beautiful daughters. As her daughters took on lives of their own, Buddie turned a part-time hobby into a family owned business, opening BJ Crafts - Ceramics and Stained Glass in 1980. For the next 25 years, Buddie counseled customers and friends in brush-technique and life lessons alike, offering an open environment for artistic creativity and social bonding. She was a devoted member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church where she could often be found seated on the front pew for Sunday service. The strength of her faith and endurance of her friendships brought her peace in her passing.
Buddie was a gifted artist and treasured mother, grandmother, friend, advisor, and confidant. The world is less without you, Grandmother.

Service will be held at Cokesbury United Methodist Church Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00pm. Graveside service to immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 7, 2014 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel from 6:00-8:00pm. Donations may be made in honor of Buddie to Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
