BEDFORD: Myrtle Edith (Seymour); Peacefully at Fairhaven on December 15, 2011 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of George. Loving mother of Will, Kathryne Crocco (James), Melanie (M. Milano), Martin & his wife Donna (Clark), Anna Ferguson (John). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Emily, William and Warren Crocco, Matthew & Christopher Milano, Sarah & Jonathan Bedford, Hannah, Emma & Abby Ferguson. Predeceased by baby Amie Milano. Myrtle was the daughter of the late Will & Edna Seymour of Cavan Twp. & Peterborough. She is survived by her sister Wilma Cotton of Port Perry and a number of cousins. As well as being the "super mom", Myrtle was active in Home and School, and her church. She was raised at Fairmount Church in Cavan where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. On arriving at George Street United Church she joined the Baby Band Mothers & later the United Church Women. Myrtle worked on a number of committees until she became ill. Myrtle had a sweet sounding bell which carried around the neighbourhood. A short ring called our five children home, a number of other mothers told their children to hurry home when Mrs. Bedford rang her bell. After a Private Family Service Myrtle's cremated remains were Intered in the family plot at Rosemount Memorial Gardens on Monday, December 19th. The Reverend Julie vanHaaften kindly gave the meditation. For those who wish to commemorate Myrtle through donations please consider the George Street United Church Memorial Fund, the Alzheimer's Society or the Food Bank. Arrangements entrusted through KAYE FUNERAL HOME 'MEMORIAL CHAPEL' 539 George Street, N. On line condolences may be made at www.kayefuneralhome.com.

Dear George, Will, Kathryne, Melanie, Martin, and Anna, Wilma,
The Seymour family picnics will never be the same. I have enjoyed being greeted by your mom at those picnics for many years now. She was a lovely friendly person and so family oriented. I am sorry for your loss and wish you all the best.

George and family - we were sorry to read about Myrtle's passing. We remember her as a very kind and quiet lady. The mentioning of her 'bell' was very interesting and suits her personality. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Jane & Ashton McMaster, Oshawa, ON (formerly Millbrook)
