Mrs. Hembury was my 7th grade teacher at Fraunfelter Elementry School. She guided us through the news and grief of President Kennedy's death as we were in her classroom that afternoon. She announced her departure from teaching in the spring as she was expecting (how things have changed). Even now my former classmates speak so highly of her. Such a lady of style and grace. She impacted so many who were blessed to have her as a teacher.

Jeff, Kim and Shelly, your Nana was a very special lady.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. We know that she is with Jesus now and those who she loved that have gone before her including your mother (her daughter) Karen. May God Bless her always.

I have many fond memories of my trips visiting Neva in Mississippi and her teaching me to play dominos with Verda and Erma. Neva will always be dear to my heart and will be sadly missed. I am so sorry I will not be able to attend. I am in California visiting family but will be there in spirit. God Bless.
