Nancy Christine (Chris) Shick Perryman, 71, of Prague, OK, passed away September 13th, 2016, after an over one year stay in a care facility following open heart surgery in August 2015. She was born June 9, 1945, in Okmulgee, OK. She graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1963. Upon moving to Shawnee with her parents after graduation she attended OBU, then Charles Beauty School where she obtained her beautician's license and worked for a period of time as a beautician. She later worked for 19 years at J.C. Penny on Main St. and then in a change of careers worked for 16 years for District Judge Glenn Dale Carter at the Pottawatomie County Courthouse. She loved working for Judge Carter and worked for him until his retirement.
Chris loved all of her family with all of her heart and was generous and kind and had a great sense of humor. She married Billy Wayne Perryman on September 4, 1976, and they had just passed their 40th anniversary. Billy and Chris had many years of the good life fishing and camping at lakes and rivers in Oklahoma and the weekly afternoon trips to the local casinos. The Perryman family knew how lucky, lucky we were to have Chris in the family from the very beginning.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents David Shick, Jr., and Nancy Lucille Shick. She is survived by her husband Billy Wayne Perryman of Prague where they have had a home for over 40 years. Also survived by her only sibling, her brother David Shick, III, and his wife Cheryl and their daughter, Raegan, of Edmond, OK. Raegan was Chris' adored niece. Also survived by her uncle and aunt Hugh and Frances Christian of Ardmore, OK. She is survived by her Perryman "sisters" and brothers-in-law, Lydia Loman (Jay) Dale, OK; LaRue Perryman (Keith Slankard) Boulder, CO; Livia Ann Norman (Nolan) Shawnee, OK. She is survived by nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
