Nancy Lou Lewis, of Oklahoma City, died suddenly on Monday, December 30th in the comfort of her home. She was born September 4, 1952 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Cecil and Lucy Lewis where she attended Ardmore High School. She later attended the University of Texas. She is survived by her only daughter Ashley Thornhill of Oklahoma City, son in law Stephen Thornhill, grandson Grant Ehret, sister Dixie Galloway, brother-in-law Richard Galloway, brother James Lewis, sister-in-law Linda Eicher all of Elizabeth, New Jersey along with many loving nieces and nephews and their wonderful children who she adored immensely. She was active in business, her true passion and talent. She became an entrepreneur first with Shoe Biz company in Oklahoma City in the 1970's and later owned and operated a business in Southwest Oklahoma City with her former husband Don Monroe. She moved forward in her career working in real estate and business management for Galloway and Lewis Exploration. She attended Westminster Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City for many years and enjoyed working in the church garden in her free time. Nancy will be remembered for many wonderful things. She had a tremendous sense of style and class. She was lively and had a way of lighting up any room she entered. She was a wonderful daughter to her parents throughout their lives, devoting the latter part of her years to their care, which she did impeccably. She was a sweet and full-of-life mother and grandmother to her daughter and grandsons. Her love of travel, life and family will always be cherished and never forgotten. Her memory will be honored on Monday, January 6th at Hahn Cook funeral home at 2:00pm.
