Nancy Louise Ford Murphy, 81, passed away suddenly Monday February 27, 2012. She now joins her siblings Dewey Raymond Ford, Anna Catherine Roe, John Jack Ford, and Barbara Jane (Sue) Meacham, her parents John Dewey Ford and Maude Elizabeth Costigan Ford in Paradise. She was born December 31, 1930 in a farmhouse in Redfield Iowa. She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years-Richard Arlen Murphy and children David Michael Murphy and his wife Helen of Red Oak Iowa, Janet Lea Denning of Boulder City Nevada, Caroline JoAnn Murphy of Boulder City Nevada, Kolene Julie Pike and husband Robert Glenn of North Las Vegas Nevada, and Gary...
Nancy Louise Ford Murphy, 81, passed away suddenly Monday February 27, 2012. She now joins her siblings Dewey Raymond Ford, Anna Catherine Roe, John Jack Ford, and Barbara Jane (Sue) Meacham, her parents John Dewey Ford and Maude Elizabeth Costigan Ford in Paradise. She was born December 31, 1930 in a farmhouse in Redfield Iowa. She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years-Richard Arlen Murphy and children David Michael Murphy and his wife Helen of Red Oak Iowa, Janet Lea Denning of Boulder City Nevada, Caroline JoAnn Murphy of Boulder City Nevada, Kolene Julie Pike and husband Robert Glenn of North Las Vegas Nevada, and Gary Andrew Murphy wife Shirley of Pikesville Kentucky. There are 14 grandchildren : Trevor Murphy (Brandy), Tiffany Denning Ulmer (Adam), Jennifer Murphy (Rob) ,Heather Murphy, April Denning Acosta (Agustin), Eric Denning, Matthew Asturi (Carolina), Kimberly Denning Bayer (Ryan) Jacquelyn Denning Lord (Jesse), Anthony Denning, Andrew Murphy, Brent Denning, Robert Pike and Patrick Murphy. There are 12 great grandchildren: Anthony, Marissa, Lexie, Ashley, Destiney (Trevor) Christopher, Jessica (Tiffany) Ariana, Agustin (April) Seth, Zachary (Kimberly), Naomi (Jacquelyn). There are also many grand puppies, grand kittens, and grand tortoises . Nancy will be remembered for her quick wit, jokes ,wild and crazy card games, large and generous heart, service to many and the ability to play the piano and organ. She used her musical talents in many churches, choirs, musical groups and soloists-her favorite being her husband Richard. She loved to fish and work in her garden. Many a person whom asked her how she was doing will remember her reply "I'm mean and nasty" Services will be held in the Boulder City LDS Buchannan Chapel Tuesday March 6, 2012. Viewing will be in the Relief Society Room 9:00 – 9:45, Service will be at 10:00 and Burial at 12:00 noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. She was always serving others and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please do a service or donate to your favorite charity. This will make her very happy.
