Mrs. Adkins was my 6th grade teacher as well and I tell you she was the most patient and inspiring teacher for kids our age. She was always there if you had a question or problem and she satyed right with you until you had it down. I have to say she was my favorite teacher in school and although we lost touch thru the years everytime she seen me she would always remember me and give me a huge hug. I will miss you Mrs. Adkins along with every other student you touched thru the years..

Mrs. Adkins was my sixth grade teacher also. She was a wonderful teacher and role model. I loved listening to her sing and play the piano. I guess my favorite memory would be how she always had butterscotch candies to give me everyday. Thoughts and prayers for her family as they deal with their loss.

I really enjoyed her class and all of the interaction that she had with me. She was never to busy to help a student or to worry if she thought that we had something wrong in our lives. My prayers go out to the family....

My mom and I had just talked about Naomi a few days ago. She to was my 6th grade teacher but she grew to be more than that. She always had such a soft spoken voice to me. When she came to moms (Helen Mullins) we always had lots of laughs. Were praying for you all.

Mrs. Adkins was a very special loving and kind lady. I loved her dearly and have thought of her often and just didn't take action and call and talk to her. May God give you all the comfort you need through this time.

Mrs. Adkins was my 6th grade teacher. I will always remember her calling me by my last name(Tompkins) because of my brother. He was always in trouble with her when he had her for a teacher. She would always tease me when I would mess up a test. She knew I could pass it, was just always nervous. She was a very special lady.

Mrs. Adkins was such a positive influence in my young grade school years. She gave me confidence when an awkward 13 year old needed it. I'm sorry for your loss and know that she will never be forgotten.

She was a teacher that really clicked with me. After I had her for sixth-grade English, diagraming sentences for Mrs. Duty was a whiz. She always had us look in the clouds and find things! She taught some of my children also, with the same love. Maybe next time we can look at the clouds from a different angle!

Naomi played piano for my parents and my brother's weddings. She was such a wonderful friend to mom and dad and my grandparents and she watched out after me at school and in the neighborhood long before I made it to her sixth grade class. She never failed to encourage me even when I had moved on to high school. I can't remember ever seeing her that she didn't give me a glowing smile. She gave me the sweetest hug and told me how proud she was when I made valedictorian... it was the only time she made me cry, until now. I can only imagine the beautiful music she's playing now on a golden piano. Rest in God's arms, Naomi. You've earned it.

The love that I myself seen her and Mr. Adkins give Fallon was remarkable. Thats what I'll remember most. She was my teacher also but I'll remember her best as Fallon's Mamaw. Love and pride was all I seen in her eyes when she looked at her and I to hope to be as good to my grandkids one day as she was to hers.

It is so hard to say good bye to someone that was nothing but good to me, Naomi was my mother in law for 3 years and a great friend to me for many more, we would talk on the phone for hours. You were always the perfect grandmother to Fallon and a wonderful role model for her, thank you for leaving her with so many loving and great memories.

Such a huge influence in my life as my 6th grade and music teacher, Mrs. Adkins taught us to be wise and righteous. She taught us what we needed for life. When I became a teacher, I modeled my teaching after hers. She will always be remembered. May the Lord be with the family during this time of loss...

Mrs. Adkins was my 5th grade music teacher and my 6th grade teacher. She was very much a role model for me. She was not only my teacher but she and her whole family were friends with my family. Johnny, I will never forget you and I playing around the world with trash cans and a pair of socks. My mother would be busy cleaning and cooking while your mother (Mrs. Adkins) would be @ Morris Harvey. Joe & Robert, you had already left home but I still remember you. God be with each and every one of you as you deal with the loss of your mother.
Love & Prayers
