Natalie Gloeckner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 5, 2017.

Natalie Renee Gloeckner (nee Furfaro), 58, of Cahokia Illinois, born, December 19, 1958 in Fort Ord, California, passed away, Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Alton, Illinois with her loving family by her side.

Natalie possessed a very compassionate, affectionate and caring personality. There are not enough positive words to describe the unforgettable marks she left on all who had the pleasure of encountering her. She was a fighter of breast cancer for three and a half years and fought the battle fearlessly. She married the love of her life, Joseph, on September 4, 1976 and to this union brought two daughters, Danielle and Dawn. Her most precious memories were those spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching scary movies around Halloween time, listening to music, shopping at various thrift stores and keeping her home in the utmost care. Her family often joked that she had OCD and loved to keep an immaculate home.
Natalie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will absolutely be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Frances Furfaro (nee Kamarit).

Surviving to cherish memories are her devoted husband of 41 years, Joseph Gloeckner; her loving daughters, Danielle (Richard) Harbaugh and Dawn (James) Salazar; her father, Frank Furfaro; her grandchildren, Renee Dawn Harbaugh, James Salazar Jr., and Jakob Salazar; her sisters, Nichole "Nikki" West and Nancy Briagas and a number of dear relatives, family members and friends. On her behalf, the family would like to also recognize the devoted and helpful efforts of the nurses at the OSF Cancer Center and Dr. Sandhu

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Breast Cancer Foundation or the family of Mrs. Gloeckner. Additional memories and condolences may be shared online at www.valhallagardensandfuneralhome.com
