A light in her household has dimmed. A voice we loved has been stilled. A place in our hearts piece is vacant that will never can be filled. A mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great great-grandmother has peacefully departed this life to be with her Savior on August 18, 2010. Natalie Marie Sedita Adams, 92, born at home in Houston, Texas, was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Cindy Sedita; her beloved husband Anthony "Tony" Adams; her brother Tommy Sedita; and sister-in-law Ada Sedita of 45 years; and twin brother of Tommy, Vincent. Natalie lost three of her treasured children, Joseph and Louis Adams and daughter Dorothea Kristoff. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Marks and husband Bill; daughter-in-law Judy Adams; 11 grandchildren Nicole, Charlie and wife Laura, Anthony, Natalie, Adam and wife Rachael, Sydney and husband Ben, Alisa and husband Jay, L.T., Billy, Michelle and husband Josh and Tony; 15 great-grandchildren Tracy and husband Jason, Danny, Carlos, Charles, Adam, Jr., Ethan, Sarah, Jonathon, Nathan, Louis, Nicole, Caroline, Rebecca, Gabriel and Lucia; and six great great-grandchildren Nicolas, Jillian, Addsion, Cheshee, Kailey and Evita, plus one on the way.

Natalie graduated with honors from Reagan High School in 1934. She was an accomplished piano player who earned many scholarships in music. She could make the piano "talk" especially playing the tune "Boogie Woogie". Natalie met her husband, Tony at a dance and it was love at first sight. Four children later, they opened three retail liquor stores, "Adams Cut Rate" for over 45 years. She was an astute business woman, who accomplished great success. Natalie had interests in many pieces of rental property and cared for them up until she passed away.

She had a great interest in sports. She had a love for the Houston Oilers, never missing a game, and for the Texans and the Astros. In the last 40 years, Natalie watched every soap opera televised. She was exceptional with a green thumb, her plants and flowers never ceased to amaze family and friends.

Natalie was a charter member of Maria Del Bazo, the Amieketos and Caritas Club and Ladies of St. Joseph's all of Italian heritage. She belonged to St. Theresa Catholic Church and was a pioneer member of the parish and the Women's Club for over 53 years. Natalie supported and loved her church. She was a devout Catholic and would pray the first hour of each morning of her life. She would also light religious candles for her family and anyone in need every day.

Natalie was the most devoted wife and mother to her family and her family felt and knew her love. She was a real icon. Every Sunday, for 30 years, she prepared a homemade Italian dinner for the entire family, spaghetti and fried chicken with homemade breads. Natalie's eyes would shine brightly whenever family dinners, parties and holidays were in the making. Her nickname was "Pookey the party animal". To sum it all up, her life was her family and we will miss her smile and devotion greatly!

Natalie's family would like to thank her grandson Anthony Cashmere for living with her for 32 years, protecting and aiding her in her daily life. In addition, thanks to her grandson Charles Cashmere for his assistance with her many necessities. We would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to her four nieces, Sandra, Judy, Tommie Lee and Pat for all the love and respect that they have shown for her. Special thanks to all of the nurses at Buckingham Plaza for taking such tremendous care of my mom and Nana. She loved you all.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 until 8 PM on Sunday, August 22, 2010 with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10 AM on Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.

"My memory of this sweet lady goes back so, so many years ago when Anthony and I were friends in elementary school. She threw Anthony this big party at her..." Carole (Houston, TX)
