Nathan Leon McDonald, age 87, went to be with his Savior on March 27, 2014. Born and raised in Pleasant Grove, AL. Nate was a Christian and a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He was the previous owner of Veteran Cab Co. Nate is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Elva McDonald; one sister, Ruby Hogan; and four brothers, Willard, Charlie, Ernie, and Neal McDonald. Survivors include nephews; William, Ronald, James, Gary, Don, and Dewhitt McDonald; nieces, Betty Duncan, Linda Walker, Tracy Morgan, and Judy Pilkington; and numerous great and grand nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Elmwood Chapel on Monday, March 31st from 1 to 2PM followed by a chapel service at 2PM. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove Methodist Cemetery. Bro. Phillip Hill and Bro. Mike Bearden officiating.
