Nedra Kay Garza passed away on May 18, 2017 at the age of 54. She was born on September 2, 1962 in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Rolando L. Garza Sr. and Rosalee J. Coffield Garza.
Nedra participated in the Special Olympics, specifically the track and field division. She also had the opportunity to bowl with Gary’s Raiders. Nedra will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, niece and cousin.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Rolando L. Garza and nephew, Ivan Garza. Nedra is survived by her three brothers, Rodney (Eva) Garza and Anthony Garza and Randy (Cynthia) Garza; nieces, Crystal Garza and Robin Jones; 5 great-nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Chapel services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Corpus Christi Nursing Rehabilitation staff, nurses and doctors. Also a special thanks to Debbie Head, Nedra’s caregiver.

Hi my dear aunt I know you are happy now and I enjoyed the moments we shared and I am super happy you were able to meet Anthony and share memories with him too. I miss u I know I haven't been around but you are forever in my heart I love you and please send my love to dad and grandma and grandpa and Ivan!! Rest easy aunt Nedra and I will always remever the great memories we shared and the fun laughs and how you would always show me all the cool medals you had. I love you!! Nedra always brightened our day as kids. I will remember her playful smile. Now her race is finished and she can rest with the Angels. Untill we meet again to celebrate at the finish line with Jesus. My condolences to the Garza family.
