Ida and I enjoyed Nelda so much. Her faith was so strong that she could quote scriptures and sing hymns to the end of her beautiful life. So glad you have happy memories.

Aunt Nelda was a beautiful lady who always had something positive and uplifting to say. What I remember most is her gentle spirit and sweet smile that reached her twinkling eyes and voice as well as her face. One of my favorite memories is traveling with her from Granddaddy Ben's house in Newton Grove, NC to her home when I was just a few weeks pregnant with my first child. She was so in tune to what I needed that she would stop before I knew I needed to. I loved taking my children to visit her the few times we could make it to Maryland and wish they could have known her like I did. She and I shared a birthday and I always looked forward to calling her or sending a card to share our special day. I will miss that this summer.
Love and prayers for all of the family.
