Nellie Bennett Holbrook, 96, of Athens, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018.
A native of Gay, GA, Mrs. Holbrook was a daughter of the late Dr. Victor H. Bennett and Elizabeth Burney Bennett. She was employed in the insurance business and was the widow of Howell Holbrook, M.D.
Survivors include nephews, Charles Bennett Bonner and Craig Bennett Wright; niece, Elizabeth Bonner Giles; a number of great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation, reception and services will be held Thursday, February 1 at 2 p.m. in the Sexton's House at Oconee Hill Cemetery with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Northside Drive Baptist Church, 3100 Northside Drive NW, Atlanta, GA 30305.
