Nellie K. Vogt (nee Tobiasz) passed away peacefully on November 25, 2016. She was born in Washington Park, Illinois to Adam M. and Julia R. (nee Stepp) Tobiasz.
Nellie attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Rosati-Kain High School in St. Louis, MO. She worked at Miss Hullings and Mallinckrodt before getting married. She was a member and past president of the Ups and Downettes in Jennings, MO where she lived for more than 40 years. In 1996, she moved to Maitland, FL where she enjoyed many years of her life. She was an avid bingo player at the Elks Lodge #1830 where she met many close and dear friends.
Nellie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and devoted friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Chester I.G. Vogt and her son, Matthew M. Vogt.
She is survived by her daughter Ann (Ernie) Janvrin, her granddaughter Kathleen (Chris) Holtgrave, her great-grandchildren Emma and Matthew, her long time companion and caregiver Mario Velis, nine nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Services will be held at Fey Funeral Home in St. Louis, MO on Sunday 12/11 from 5-8 PM. A Catholic Mass will be held at Assumption Catholic Church at 10AM with interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband.
