Nellie Ann Dyer, 96, of Annandale, Virginia passed away November 19, 2012. She was born to Joseph Hodiak and Marie Lacyk in Melville, NJ in 1916 and moved to Centerline, Michigan in late 1920's. Ms. Nellie graduated from Bush High School, Centerline, MI. She was married in 1941 to Raymond K. Dyer. They lived in Fraser and Warren Michigan. In 1980 they moved to Port Richey Florida where he died in October 2002. Nellie worked for the Federal Government in the accounting section for US Tank Automotive Command, Finance and Accounting Division in Warren, MI. She retired in 1976 after 29 years. She was an active member at Grace Baptist Church...
Nellie Ann Dyer, 96, of Annandale, Virginia passed away November 19, 2012. She was born to Joseph Hodiak and Marie Lacyk in Melville, NJ in 1916 and moved to Centerline, Michigan in late 1920's. Ms. Nellie graduated from Bush High School, Centerline, MI. She was married in 1941 to Raymond K. Dyer. They lived in Fraser and Warren Michigan. In 1980 they moved to Port Richey Florida where he died in October 2002. Nellie worked for the Federal Government in the accounting section for US Tank Automotive Command, Finance and Accounting Division in Warren, MI. She retired in 1976 after 29 years. She was an active member at Grace Baptist Church in Warren, MI and Faith Baptist Church in Port Richey, Florida. In 2006 she moved to Annandale, Virginia to be near her son.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Raymond K Dyer and brother Peter Hodiak, Riverdale, MD, Nick Hodiak, Seattle, WA, sister Elizabeth Linley, Port Huron, MI and Joseph Hodiak Jr., Dearborn, MI.
She is survived by son, Robert Dyer; many nieces and nephews in Michigan, Florida and Maryland they are Diane Hodiak, Paul Hodiak, Dick Hodiak and Marie Weygandt and their children.
Family will receive friends at Grace Memorial Funeral Home, in Hudson, Fl. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 from 10-11 AM followed by service at 11 AM.
Interment will follow to Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or your local church.
