Nevin Eugene "Buck" Frailey, aged 73, born July 27, 1942 to Nevin and Ethel Frailey in Elderton, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2016. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Carol Frailey; children, Jeff Frailey and Kim DallePezze; two grandsons, Trey and Blake DallePezze, all of Kingwood, Texas; sister, Jane Cunningham and husband Bill of Cathedral City, CA; brother, Errol Frailey of St. Petersburg, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Nevin Eugene "Buck" Frailey, aged 73, born July 27, 1942 to Nevin and Ethel Frailey in Elderton, Pennsylvania, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2016. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Carol Frailey; children, Jeff Frailey and Kim DallePezze; two grandsons, Trey and Blake DallePezze, all of Kingwood, Texas; sister, Jane Cunningham and husband Bill of Cathedral City, CA; brother, Errol Frailey of St. Petersburg, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. Buck spent his early years in Elderton, PA, moving with his parents and siblings to Franklin, PA. in 1952. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1960 in the top 10 of his class as well as a member of the National Honor Society. In 1964, he graduated from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry, while also receiving high honors in Chemistry. Upon graduation from college, he enjoyed a 34 year career with Shell Oil Co, serving in various positions. During his career, he was active in the Petroleum Packaging Council, serving on various committees and also as chairman. An avid golfer, he enjoyed the opportunity to play on his home course, Kingwood Country Club as well as numerous courses in Mexico, Canada and the U.S. He and Carol enjoyed traveling and cruising to various countries of the world as well as taking countless road trips to the National Parks within the U.S. One of the highlights of his life, was cruising the British Isles and visiting St. Andrews. He also enjoyed rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers, gardening, wood working and tinkering in the garage, but without a doubt, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his two grandsons and watching them grow.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Buck's life will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, TX 77339. Please join us in remembering Buck Frailey by visiting our Memorial at www.kingwoodfuneralhome.com where you can share your thoughts and memories with our family. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Doctors and nurses at the Cardiovascular ICU at St. Luke's in Houston for their outstanding and family centered care of Buck for almost six weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either the or in Buck's memory.
