Nicholas A. Merlo, Jr., Age 87, Born in Elizabeth, NJ., was a Veteran of the US Army, Retired, then lived at Westminster Asbury Arms, Cocoa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, 5/9/2017 at Greystone Viera Rehab. Facility, Viera, FL.

He is survived by his brother, Angelo Merlo; niece, Jeanne and her husband Douglas Sams; her son, Donald; daughter, Angela Sams Nieves and husband Alex; Angela's children, Annabella, Aryanna and Adrian and Nick's nephew, Robert Matthews. Nick is also survived by his companion, Frances Buono and her family.

A Graveside Service will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL, on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 3:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, we would ask for donations to be made to Hospice of St. Francis, 1250-B Grumman Pl., Titusville, Florida 32780, in memory of Nicholas Merlo.
