Nick Andrusky, 85 of Clarksville (Teagarden Homes), died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg. He was born November 29, 1926 in Isabella, Fayette County, a son of the late Mike and Eva Wozny Andrusky. Mr. Andrusky attended Jefferson High School and lived all his life in Greene County. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a retired coal miner from Gateway Coal Company. Mr. Andrusky was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 6630, the American Legion Post 330 of Waynesburg, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4791 of Waynesburg, and the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461. Nick Andrusky, 85 of Clarksville (Teagarden Homes), died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
He was born November 29, 1926 in Isabella, Fayette County, a son of the late Mike and Eva Wozny Andrusky.
Mr. Andrusky attended Jefferson High School and lived all his life in Greene County. He served in the US Navy during World War II.
He was a retired coal miner from Gateway Coal Company.
Mr. Andrusky was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 6630, the American Legion Post 330 of Waynesburg, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4791 of Waynesburg, and the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Catholic Church, Brownsville.
On February 14, 1948 he married Ann M. Gress, who died August 27, 1987.
Surviving are a sister, Eva Kolat of Clarksville, a long time companion Kathleen Deems, and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a son, Nicholas Andrusky; two brothers, John and Frank Andrusky; three sisters, Katie Santucci, Mary Kuty and Ann Nestor.
Friends will be received from 11:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2012, the hour of services in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, with the Rev. Fr. John M. Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Jefferson Road, Waynesburg. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Navy and the American Legion Post #330, Veterans of Foreign Wars 4791 and DAV # 123 all of Waynesburg.
