Nina Capilets March 4, 1923 – December 20, 2012 Nina (Lazzara) Capilets of Naples, FL and Amagansett, NY, formerly of Marco Island, FL died peacefully on December 20, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Nina was born March 4, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. She loved her summers in Amagansett, NY. Anyone who met her would see she was a "fashionista" and a master in the art of shopping. Known for her culinary talents, her marvelous meatballs were legendary. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Joseph. March 4, 1923 – December 20, 2012

Nina (Lazzara) Capilets of Naples, FL and Amagansett, NY, formerly of Marco Island, FL died peacefully on December 20, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.

Nina was born March 4, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY. She loved her summers in Amagansett, NY. Anyone who met her would see she was a "fashionista" and a master in the art of shopping. Known for her culinary talents, her marvelous meatballs were legendary.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Joseph. Her five daughters; Joanne (Timothy) Finnegan of Saratoga Springs, NY, Corinne Capilets of Amagansett, NY, Candace (James) Sendrak of Vernon, CT, Nina (John) Ammerman of Naples, FL and Amagansett, NY, Caryn (Kevin) Teague of Arvada, CO; three granddaughters, three grandsons and four great grandchildren; her dear brother Anthony (Ursula) Lazzara, several nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends at Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10 from 3 until 5 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be offered at San Marco Catholic Church on Friday, January 11 at 10 am with interment to follow at Marco Island Cemetery.
