Norma Jean Doles Obituary

Norma Jean Doles, 80, of Nesbit, MS, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday August 10, 2017. Mrs. Doles was born September 29, 1936, in Eudora, Mississippi to the late Eslie and Ollin Pounders. She was also preceded in death by her children, Bubba, Cindy, and Dewey May, her sister, Jean Donnelly and her grandson, Griffin May. Norma was a meat clerk for 32 years, and in her retirement, a business owner and co-founder of The Merry Christmas Tree Farm in Nesbit, MS. Her greatest pastimes were traveling the country with her beloved husband, driving corvettes, making beautiful flower arrangements for her business, and being a dedicated mother and grandmother to all seven of her children, her fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
Norma is survived by her dedicated husband and constant companion of 44 years, Mullins Doles of Nesbit, MS; her son, John May and his wife, Barbara May of Arlington, TN, and their children William Green of Arlington, TN, Victoria Green of Covington, TN, Christy Hocking of Heber Springs, AK, April Green of Ripley, TN, and Mack Green of Braden, TN; her daughter, Sharon Hawkins, of Collierville, TN, Sharon's husband, Corkey Hawkins, and their children, Amanda Sanders and Matthew and their sons, Hayden and Austin, of Atoka, TN; and Scott Hawkins of Lafayette, LA, and Scott's children, Gabriella, Cooper, and Luke; her late son Dewey's children, Justin May of Olive Branch, MS, his wife, Brooke and their children, Alyssa and Beau; Ronnie May, of Olive Branch, MS, and his wife, Erica, and children, Eli and Raylan; and Brittney May of Southaven, MS and her son Trace; her daughter, Susan Webster, of Nesbit, MS, and her children, Christy Fiveash of Hernando, MS, and her husband Steve, and their sons, Dylan and Ryder; Allen Webster of Nesbit, MS, and his wife, Deborah and their son, Caden; Daniel Webster of MS and his son Eli; and Ashley Guidry of Nesbit, MS, and her husband Tim and their children, Connor, Cullen and Chloe; Her son, Timothy Doles, of Nesbit, MS. Norma is also survived by her sister, Billie Wilks of Oklahoma. Family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch. Services will be held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Hernando Memorial Park Cemetery in Hernando, MS.
