I loved Norma Rugg. I worked with her at the Queen of the Valley. She was always so full of energy. Always talking about her family and a great Nurse, mentor and co-worker. I always remember her telling me a story about painting her front door red. May you rest in peace Norma, you are always with me in my working world at Queen of the Valley from 1970-1980, and then left for Alaska, where later went fishing with Mike.

Nonnie was an amazing and loving woman. My children always loved to go to her house and play while I chatted with Nonnie. She had some amazing stories of her life and childhood. Now those stories are gone. I was lucky to see her in the Kaiser hospital a few days before she passed and we talked about my daughter being born in this hospital and she said, "that's why I like this hospital".
Nonnie had her hands full with all her children and then grandchildren and loved having them visit. She always made me feel loved. My children called her Nonnie also, even though we were not related. I am so glad Nonnie was in my life and I was able to say goodbye to her, tell her I loved her and I would see her in heaven. RIP Nonnie.

Aunt Norma was such a spirited, and loving person. My heart was deeply saddened by her passing. We had spoken right after my birthday and planned to go see her in the fall. Aunt Norma, and Uncle Bob were both good and loving partners, and good parents to all their children and grandchildren. They gave so much to their family. As a little girl I remember Aunt Norma teaching me how to cook while my family visited her home in Napa. Spending time together in her garden after dinner as the sun went down. Telling me how her mother, had taught her how to cook. Sharing our secrets and loving the way we would laugh together.
She was great friends with my mother Bobbie Rugg. They often spoke for hours on the phone catching up on everything love, secrets, sorrows and family .
My mother wanted me to write about one of her fondest memories. Normas family dinners together. Having eleven children all at once in the same home filled with love and laughter that echoed outside the house. Sharing a glass of wine at five o'clock . Always having fun together as a family. Mom and Aunt Norma shared a special bond as sister in laws that will be missed.
To Aunt Norma and Uncle Bob their children were their first priority. Family was so special to them. I feel incredibly blessed to have been taught so much by both.
Aunt Norma had a quick wit and such an abundance of love and compassion for others. Being a Nurse at Napa Hospital she was a great resource for advice and also one who gave to others in as an act of service.
Our deepest condolences to David, Richard, Danny, Micheal, Gina, and the extended family .

I loved Norma. She was my ex-mother-in-law but she was still sweet to me. She always kept in touch with her grandson and for that I appreciated her. I loved being around her. She taught me how to make ravioli. I loved her zeal for Christmas. Hallmark was her hobby. I couldn't have picked a better person to be my mother-in-law. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

I was sorry to learn of Norm's passing. Norma and I were good friends, Norma was my sister-in-law. I first met Norma at her parents home in Sonoma, California. My brother Bob asked Norma if I might stay for an extended visit with her parents and Uncle Benny. I was allowed to stay, and I learned of Norma's parents Italian hertitage. They were good people, and Norma learned important values from her parents. My wife Irene and I visited Norma at her Napa home after my brother Bob passed away, and we both found that Norma was kind to everyone, and she had many friends in the Napa community. I would liked to have seen Norma again before her passing. I will miss her cheery bright smile and laugh.
Sincerely,
Bill Rugg
