It is with profound sorrow that the family of Norma E. Cooper, 76, of Davenport, announces her passing on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 5, at 5:30 PM at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3:30 – 5:30PM. Norma was born on October 2, 1933 in Iowa City, Iowa to Everett (Pat) and Edith (Waller) Patterson. She was united in marriage to Keith Cooper on January 10, 1952, in Davenport. It is with profound sorrow that the family of Norma E. Cooper, 76, of Davenport, announces her passing on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Genesis Medical Center East Campus. Norma was born on October 2, 1933 in Iowa City, Iowa to Everett (Pat) and Edith (Waller) Patterson. She was united in marriage to Keith Cooper on January 10, 1952, in Davenport. Norma graduated from Davenport High School in 1951.
In her younger years she was a star roller skater. Norma was a brilliant bridge, card, and bingo player, and enjoyed going to the casino. She studied genealogy on both sides of the family tree. Norma was a wiz at computers and was an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her children, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Those left to honor her memory include her loving husband Keith, daughters; Christine Cooper (Doug) Miller, Davenport, Anita Clark, St. Louis, MO, Karen (Ken) Betts, Charlottesville, VA, brother, Gerald Patterson; grandchildren; Dan and Judi Ladehoff, Kirsten Schneider, Carrie Peet, Jennifer Kock, Sam Clark, and Nick Clark, 9 great-grandchildren, including; Lauren Peet, Logan Peet, Ella Kock, Skylar Doak, Ayden Doak, Brock Ladehoff and Cade Ladehoff.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Valery Sue Cooper, grandson, Garrett Doak and sister, Delores Boyd.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
