Norman P. Powers, Sr., 91, passed away on November 25, 2016, we said goodbye to our beloved father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Marjorie after 68 years in marriage, his son, Robert, three brothers and his sister. He is survived by his son, Preston and wife Deborah; daughter, Cindy and husband Woody; daughter in law, Toni, along with seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He serviced in the army during WWII, graduated from Williams and Mary College, retired from IBM and was a devoted member of Kempsville Presbyterian Church. Norman had a great love and belief in God, family, giving back to others and his love of sailing.

There will be a graveside service at 2pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Forest Lawn Cemetery to be followed with US Army rendering of military honors. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.smithandwilliamskempsville.com.
