Age 99, Buddy passed away peacefully in his home on April 10, 2013. He was born on February 12, 1914 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in business and a DDS. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII, where he directed fighter planes in and out of enemy territory. Buddy was known for his dapper appearance, optimistic, kind demeanor and fabulous sense of humor. His wonderful disposition and unique ability to see the humor in every situation allowed him to fully enjoy life and make the people around him better. While Buddy graduated with a degree in dentistry, he chose to become a retailor of ladies ready-to-wear clothes. This work fit his personality as he loved clothes and pretty women. Buddy was one of the founders of the Casual Corner stores in Texas and later founded Cricket & Company in Inwood Village. He was a brilliant businessman and received tremendous satisfaction from his work. Buddy is survived by his wife, the great love of his life, Betsy Bramson; his beloved children Wendy Goldman, Scott Myers, and Pam Beckert; grandchildren Lauren Mintzer, Bonnie Abraham, Randy Myers, Ginger Goldman, Betsy Beckert and Brent Beckert; and great grandchildren Kira, Jack, Ethan and Nate. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El Lefkowitz Chapel, with a reception to follow in Linz Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Buddy's name to The or a charity of your choice.

"My love and prayers to all the family. Uncle Buddy always made the whole room light up. He was a beautiful inspiration to everyone. May his beautiful..." Lynda and Gary Fitzjarrell (Hurst, TX)
