Jay was the fifth child born to Lewis "Lewie" and Norma Jean (Statler) Busch on December 8, 1952 in Seattle, Washington. He grew up with his three brothers and sister in Seattle, Washington, between Burien and Des Moines. Jay enjoyed many activities, including, fishing, sports, cooking, shopping, and family gatherings, but mostly he loved and enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren. He was "that guy" that everyone could always count on.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Norma Jean, and brothers, Lewis "Dub" and Larry Busch.

Immediately following will be a Life Celebration at Tahoma Hall, 23806 190th Ave SE, Kent, WA 98042. Please bring with you, or email, a memory with Jay, to be included in a book for the Grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Powers Funeral Home and Glen Luebke of the Central Pierce Fire and Rescue as well as their family and friends for all the support and help.

Although fresh flowers are very much appreciated, the family requests that a flowering plant be purchased and planted in personal gardens as a remembrance of Jay's love for flowers and flowering plants. Alternately please consider a donation to the Central Pierce Fire and Rescue.
