Norris Oliver Almon, 87, of Cordova, TN passed away on December 30, 2010. Mr. Almon was retired from the United States Postal Service and a U.S. Army veteran, where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He was also a member of the American Legion and the local VFW. Mr. Almon is survived by his wife, Theresa Z. Almon; two children, Theresa Lynn Almon, and John O. Almon; one granddaughter, Stephanie Almon; and a sister, Dorothy Griffith. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, and funeral services 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue

Sister, I'm sorry I won't be able to attnd Norris' services, but I will be thinking of you and the family and remembering the golden days when we were so young.
