Olin F. Albrecht, 97, of Victoria, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009. He was born Aug. 24, 1912, in Goliad County, the son of Albert and Emma Schiewitz Albrecht. He was a retired engineer with Southern Pacific Railroad and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Belle Brandt Albrecht; daughters, Janet Kutchka and husband Ray of Victoria and Carol Curry and husband Robert of Corpus Christi; brother, Clarence Albrecht of Port O'Connor; granddaughters, Jill Kutchka Abel and husband Doug of Houston and Elisabeth Brown Moon and husband J.P. of Marina del Rey, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Connor Kelley Shuford, Caroline Lee Shuford, Lilly Grace Moon, and Henry Olin Moon; and nieces and nephew, Alberta Tomas and husband Gary, Mary Gibbs, Claire Barnes and husband Pat, Janice Stalder, and George Albrecht and wife Debbie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Sidney Albrecht.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Barney Matocha officiating. Visitation will follow at Luther Hall. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers include George Albrecht, Donnie Koenig, James Gibbs, Douglas Hartman, Floyd Karnei, Robert Obsta, and Steven Brandt.
Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Larry Riedel, Arthur Hall, Al Krause, MurrayKrause, Johnny Pavlica, and Del Girard.
