Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 20, 2017.

Olive E. Baucom passed away March 19, 2017 in Westminster, Colorado. She was born January 13, 1922 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Nettie (Reynolds) Eastham. Olive grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Northeast High School. She met and fell in love with Ray Baucom and they were married May 7, 1945 in Kanas City. Olive enjoyed being in the garden, planting and growing a variety of plants. She loved to cook and that was always reflected in the meals she prepared for her family and friends. Olive had a fondness for the slot machines, the nickel slots were her favorite. She was an enthusiastic supporter of the Denver Broncos and cheered them on ringing her cowbell.
Olive is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, parents William and Nettie, and her sister Ruth Burns. She is survived by her children Dennis (Sheryl) Baucom and Barb (Dan) Lansing. Grandchildren Michael (Jennie) Baucom, Steven Baucom, Ryan Lansing, and John (Kate) Lansing; great grandchildren Jason Lansing, Jayde Lansing, Raelynne Baucom, Averey Baucom, and Sophie Lansing.

I love the pictures! They brought back lots of fond memories of a sweet lady who loved her family and loved to play games. I especially remember her contagious smile and soft giggle. She will be missed by many. God bless her family as they continue their lives without her.

These wonderful pictures bring so many memories back. I especially love the picture of Aunt Olive and my Grandmother hitching for a ride. I don't remember the last time I saw Aunt Olive and Uncle Ray but all of my memories are treasures to me. Although the sadness of loss is present to those who will miss Aunt Olive you must remember "Their love story now continues in Heaven" together again.

What a wonderful lady. Olive was so gracious and loving. Always proud of her family. Her grandkids were very special to her. I loved playing Scrabble with her and listening to her stories of their trips, especially to Vegas and Black Hawk.
Blessing to the family. Know how much you will miss her.
