I have fond memories of hanging out at the Schaeffer house on Clarendon. I lived down the street and after getting pass that rough texture of a man, he was a gentle giant. I was a teenage boy and he was a guy guarding a house of pretty daughters. We had good times growing up together in Oakhaven. Rest In Peace Mr. Schaeffer.

I remember Sonny playing with me in my parent's yard when I was 8 years old. It was when he was dating Vesta (my sister). Therefore, he has been apart of my life for 60 years. Through the years, there are so many great memories of us laughing and enjoying fellowship together. His voice was so distinct, when he called, I never had to wonder who it was. I will miss our conversations and tiime together because he could say things that would always make me laught. What a precious man, that I will surely miss! I am so grateful to have many memories.

Sonny was a dear family member...always there when needed. I will always cherish his visits & a wooden nameplate he made for me back in the 90's that is still on my desk today. Love & Godspeed...
