Oliver (Ollie) Warren, 85 years of age, passed away Wednesday March 12. Oliver was born the 4th of five children in Worcester, MA, on August 25, 1928. Ollie served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers from 1950-1952. He met his wife, June Anne on his first evening home at a dance at the Mamaroneck Elks Club, asking her to dance after selecting the hit song, "You Belong to Me" on the juke box. They married May 8, 1954 in Mamaroneck, NY and raised five sons in Watertown, CT - Jeffrey Oliver, Paul Joseph, Mark Eliot, David Robert, and Craig Alan. Oliver (Ollie) Warren, 85 years of age, passed away Wednesday March 12. Oliver was born the 4th of five children in Worcester, MA, on August 25, 1928. Ollie served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers from 1950-1952. He met his wife, June Anne on his first evening home at a dance at the Mamaroneck Elks Club, asking her to dance after selecting the hit song, "You Belong to Me" on the juke box. They married May 8, 1954 in Mamaroneck, NY and raised five sons in Watertown, CT - Jeffrey Oliver, Paul Joseph, Mark Eliot, David Robert, and Craig Alan. Ollie worked as a systems analyst and retired from Chandler Evans, Inc. Control Systems Division, West Hartford, CT in 1992. Ollie and June moved to Dennis, MA in 1993 and became active members of Our Lady of the Cape Catholic Church. Ollie belonged to the Mens' Club and supported fundraising events for Together With Haiti. He also volunteered for several community-based organizations including Meals-on-Wheels, and provided medical rides for other seniors. Oliver was predeceased by his brother John (Jack) Warren and sister, Dorothy (Dot) Grainer. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Savago and Barbara Worth.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Children's Center, 115 Sisson Rd., Harwich Port, MA 02646, or Together with Haiti, C/O Our Lady of the Cape Parish.


A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cape Catholic Church, 468 Stony Brook Road, Brewster.
