Ona C. Elsom Clement, 97, of Medina, NY, passed away on August 4, 2013 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home. Ona was born on August 7, 1915 in Albion, NY she was the daughter of the late Glen and Harriett (Clapp) Clark. She graduated from Albion High School in 1933 and married the late Harold E. Elsom on June 1, 1938. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Medina, a past Noble Grand and past District Deputy President of Welcome Rebekah Lodge #146. Ona C. Elsom Clement, 97, of Medina, NY, passed away on August 4, 2013 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home.
Ona was born on August 7, 1915 in Albion, NY she was the daughter of the late Glen and Harriett (Clapp) Clark.
She graduated from Albion High School in 1933 and married the late Harold E. Elsom on June 1, 1938. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Medina, a past Noble Grand and past District Deputy President of Welcome Rebekah Lodge #146. She worked at the former Bells Market for 24 years.
Ona is predeceased by her first husband, a sister, Dorothy Brown, a daughter-in-law Linda Elsom, a son-in-law, Lee Gonzales and her second husband, Alvin B. Clement.
Ona is survived by a son, Gary (Ruth) Elsom of Williamsville, a daughter, Karen Gonzales of Palm Desert, California, three grandchildren, Sandra (Peter) Schroth of Fairport, Sheryl Chatt of Rochester, David (Christine) Elsom of Powder Springs, GA, five great-grandchildren, two step- grandsons and four step-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 2-4PM and 7-9PM on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Bates & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Alfreda Morse officiating. Burial will be in the Millville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ona's name to: First Presbyterian Church, 522 Main St. Medina, NY 14103.
