Opal Wonita Holman age 95 of West View Community, passed away January 21, 2018. Member of Washington Pike Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress. She was given the honorary title of WA-NI Village Angel by Dick and Elizabeth Sheppard. Preceded in death by husband, Charles Holman; daughter, Shirley Ann Rogers; sons, Billy Leon and Bruce Thomas Holman; granddaughter, Sherry Rogers. Survived by sons, Charles David, George Michael and Donald Lee Holman; son-in-law, Earnest Howard Rogers; grandchildren, Shelly, Thomas, Derek, Jessica, Damon and Jamie; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Thursday at New Gray Cemetery for an 11 am interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dick and Elizabeth Sheppard for a memorial tree planting in WA-NI Village in her honor. Condolences may be left at www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
