Opal Wonita Holman age 95 of West View Community, passed away January 21, 2018. Member of Washington Pike Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress. She was given the honorary title of WA-NI Village Angel by Dick and Elizabeth Sheppard. Preceded in death by husband, Charles Holman; daughter, Shirley Ann Rogers; sons, Billy Leon and Bruce Thomas Holman; granddaughter, Sherry Rogers. Survived by sons, Charles David, George Michael and Donald Lee Holman; son-in-law, Earnest Howard Rogers; grandchildren, Shelly, Thomas, Derek, Jessica, Damon and Jamie; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Wednesday at Weaver's Chapel with the service to follow at 7 pm. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Thursday at New Gray Cemetery for an 11 am interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dick and Elizabeth Sheppard for a memorial tree planting in WA-NI Village in her honor. Condolences may be left at www.weaverfuneralservices.com.

We were so very sorry to hear about Opal. She was a special addition to our lake community. The family is in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless each of you.

Prayers and condolences to the family. She was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by all her friends at WANI Village on Cherokee Lake. She loved her lake home and visiting with her neighbors when she worked in her garden. God speed sweet lady.
