Obituary

Oswald Lee Bonney III, 79, of Apex, passed away on August 20th, 2014. He was born on February 8th, 1935, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Oswald Lee Bonney II and Alice White. He was a graduate of Granby High School, and attended the College of William and Mary. Oswald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he continued his civil service with Navy Intelligence. He lived in Washington, D.C. for the majority of his life before retiring in Cary. He was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church. Oswald Lee Bonney III, 79, of Apex, passed away on August 20th, 2014.

He was born on February 8th, 1935, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Oswald Lee Bonney II and Alice White. He was a graduate of Granby High School, and attended the College of William and Mary. Oswald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, where he continued his civil service with Navy Intelligence. He lived in Washington, D.C. for the majority of his life before retiring in Cary. He was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.

Oswald is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carole McCormick Bonney; daughter, Susan Cornwell (Brian) of Raleigh; Karen Bonney of Hollister, CA and Cheryl Harris of Snohomish, WA; grandchildren Vivian, Evan, Lauren, and Chelsea; great-grandchild Chloe, and brother Richard Bonney.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 24th, 2014, at 3:00 pm at Martha's Chapel Christian Church Cemetery, 2811 Martha's Chapel Road, Apex, NC 27523, with military honors and Masonic rights. A memorial service will follow at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 2220 High House Rd, Cary, NC 27519.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
