Otis Henry Pennington, 77, of Lenoir passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Lenoir Health Care.
Mr. Pennington was born in Smyth County, Virginia to the late Henry Eli Pennington and Etta Mae Campbell Pennington. He was retired from Taylor Construction Company, served in the National Guard and was a member of Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. He was a people person and a devout Christian.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean West Pennington; a daughter, Sandra Gail Pennington; two brothers, Jackie and Gerald Pennington.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kathy Pennington and fiancé Tony Wilson of Lenoir; his son, Jeff Pennington of Lenoir; his brother, Larry Pennington and wife Penny of Lenoir; his sister, Nancy Austin of Lenoir; two grandchildren, T. J. Wilson and Matthew Wilson and numerous other relatives.
The family will receive Friday, April 3, 2015 at Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The family respectfully requests that memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC 28645.
Pendry's Lenoir Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Otis Henry Pennington.
