Otto was a faithful, active member of St. Pauls' Lutheran Church and continued attending every Sunday without fail.
For a number of years Otto worked at Kingsbury Brewery and later at Garton Toy as a nickel plater. For twenty-two years he was employed at K.W. Muth as a quality control manager, retiring in 1982.
Otto lived and breathed sports his entire life. He coached and umpired in the Sheboygan area and was affectionately known as "Ottsie" by young and old alike. He was the trainer for the Sheboygan Redskins in the 1940's, was inducted into the Diamond Club for baseball in 1987 and inducted into the Hall of Fame for Umpires in 2002.
His other hobbies included golfing and gardening
God blessed Otto with the spirit and will to function well at home for many years despite his blindness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 13th & Lincoln Ave., Sheboygan, WI. Rev. Alan Kretschmar, Pastor, will officiate.
