Ova D. Barton, 79, of Fulton passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Missouri Veteran's Home in Mexico. He was born October 4, 1933 in Frankclay, Mo., the son of the late Willis and Lydia Ethal (Smith) Barton. He was united in marriage to Lois Jean Musgrove on June 29, 1956 in Warrenton, Mo. She survives at their home. Mr. Barton proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ova worked as a mechanic for Harbison Walker. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Along with his wife of 56 years, he will be missed by three sons, Darrell Wayne Barton and wife Candy of Eldon, Ova Dale (Pee Wee)...
Ova D. Barton, 79, of Fulton passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Missouri Veteran's Home in Mexico. He was born October 4, 1933 in Frankclay, Mo., the son of the late Willis and Lydia Ethal (Smith) Barton.

He was united in marriage to Lois Jean Musgrove on June 29, 1956 in Warrenton, Mo. She survives at their home.

Mr. Barton proudly served his county in the United States Army during the Korean War. Ova worked as a mechanic for Harbison Walker. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Along with his wife of 56 years, he will be missed by three sons, Darrell Wayne Barton and wife Candy of Eldon, Ova Dale (Pee Wee) Barton and wife Tish of Fulton, and Darrell Lyn Barton and wife Amanda also of Fulton; daughter, Melinda Macker and husband Kevin of Fulton; four brothers Virgil Barton of Jonesburg, Bobby Barton of Truesdale, Ronald Barton of Wright City, and Larry Barton of Wellsville; three sisters Geneva Reel and Louise Reel of Warrenton, and Wilma Kelling of Fulton; eight grandchildren, Christina Roskowski of Eldon, Sam Barton of Salem, Shane Fountain of Fulton, Alex McBride of Fulton, Steven Barton of Fulton, Madison Childers of Fulton, Tyler Barton of Columbia, and Joshua Barton of Fulton; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Daphine Shepard, Ellawise Henderson, and Ruth Ann Barton; and two brothers, Norman Barton and Billy Barton.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service.

In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests memorial donations be made Missouri Veteran's Home or the , c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Mo. 65251.
