RUBOVITS, PAMELA “PAM” CHARLES, 73, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017. She was the wife of James Rubovits for almost 49 years.

They especially enjoyed several road trips to various regions of the U.S. with Rhode Island friends. She loved spending time with friends and neighbors in Rochester Vermont, reading, yoga, exercise classes, cooking, gardening and tea parties; and she loved hats and boas.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sister in law Lois Yaffe and her husband Alan; nephew Ken Yaffe and his wife Susan; niece Lynn Kaplan and her husband Dan; nephew Scott Yaffe and his wife Nee; and grandnieces and grandnephews Kira, Nikki, Lucas, Chloe, Noah, Charley and Julia.

Jim,
I am so sorry to hear about Pam's death. I always felt as though we shared a special bond, not just because of NCIC, but because we were Mt. Holyoke graduates and knew many of the same professors there. I have many wonderful memories of times we all shared in different cities where AERA and NCIC were held. You are in my thoughts.

I am so saddened by the loss of Pam. "Oh the Places You'll Go," is what she read to our (adult) class in her last year. I know she is in a blessed "place" now, and please know she was a true blessing in my life both personally and professionally. She will never be forgotten...

Pam was the brightest, most positive professor I had at RIC. Entertaining, light-hearted, and engaging, she made the mundane "fun" for her (adult) students... Pam, "Oh the Places You'll Go..."(as you read to us). God Bless You. You are amazing, and I know you are now in a blessed place. My condolences to your family.
