Obituary

Pasquale A. "Pat" Capria, 72, of Sandy Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A Syracuse native, he spent most of his life in Liverpool and the last ten years in Sandy Creek. Pasquale was a proud member of the Onondaga County Special Deputies Unit and was a self-employed contractor for many years. Pat was an avid New York Yankees fan, enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Pat had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a good joke. He was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Josephine Capria. ...

Survivors include his loving wife, June Capria; children, Renee (Joel) McKissick of Syracuse, Mark (Gwen) Capria of Liverpool, Christine (Bret) Ramie of Lafayette, and Carol (Jamie) Galway of Manlius; step-children, Jeannette Rogers of East Syracuse, David Tillman of Honeoye Falls, NY, and Steven (Christine) Tillman of Cazenovia; 17 grandchildren that he dearly loved and was very proud of; brothers, Dennis (Theresa) Capria of Brewerton and Albert (Dorothy) Capria of Liverpool; sister, Carmella (Walt) Krupnak of Klamath Falls, OR; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m.
