Patricia Elaine Ayers, 66, passed away at Houston Methodist St. John's Hospital at 12:57am on January 7, 2018. Patricia was born in San Antonio, TX on December 30, 1951 to Alton and Irene Tumlinson. On October 2, 1971 she married the love of her life, David Ayers, and had two daughters whom they loved and made many cherished memories with. Patricia worked as an RN helping to save and preserve many lives in the Houston area for over 30 years, and always lived life to the fullest, whether it was taking road trips with her four grandchildren, or organizing protests for causes she deeply believed in. She was a determined, loving, generous, kind soul who always danced to the beat of her own drum. Patricia had an uncany ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She is survived by her two daughters Brandis Ayers, Karen and her husband Alex Diaz, her four grandchildren David and Lance Bieber and Xavier and Antonio Diaz, her brother Kenneth Tumlinson, her two sisters Dolores and her husband Frank Duderstadt, Thelma and her husband Frank Gomez, her brother and sister-in-law Rick and Carol Ayers, and many nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Patricia are invited to her services at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 816 Park Drive La Porte TX, 77571 on January 19, 2018 at 5pm for a viewing with a rosary to follow at 6pm. Funeral services will be held January 20, 2018 at 11am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, all are welcomed. Come remanence, grieve, support each other, and celebrate her life at Patricia's niece, Melanie Roberts, family immediately following services on January 20th.
