Patricia Joy Smith, 72, of Norman passed away on June 15, 2017, in Norman.
Patricia was born April 30, 1945, in Gainesville, Texas, to Floyd G. and Joyce Louise (Thompson) Payne. She grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma and graduated from Duncan High School. She received her Associate's Degree from Cameron University. She married Leon Smith on July 9, 1966, in Duncan. They moved to Norman in 1967. She and Leon have owned and operated Leon's Plumbing since 1976. Patricia was active at Berry Road Baptist and First Freewill Baptist Church. She collected dolls and loved photography. Patricia loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to garage sales.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Leon; two children: Timothy Smith, Holly Morris and her husband Clay; 10 grandchildren: Michael Morris and his wife, and Ethan, Seth, Anna, Chloe, Isaac, Nate, Phoebe, Lydia, and Magdalene Morris; two great grandchildren: Cayden and Kamille Morris; her mother; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday June 18 at Primrose Funeral Service, visitation will continue on Monday June 19 from 8-8. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Primrose Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Joe Grizzle officiating. Burial will follow in Norman IOOF Cemetery.
