Patricia (Patsy) Churchman Anderson
Shreveport, LA
Services for Mrs. Patricia (Patsy) Churchman Anderson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home on Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, with burial to follow at Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening between the hours of 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Patsy was born in Shreveport, LA on February 1, 1916, and passed away on May 21, 2012, at Naomi Heights Nursing Home in Alexandria.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Peck" Anderson; parents, Charles and Ludie Churchman; five brothers, Charlie Bob, Don, Harry, Mike and Roy Churchman; one sister, and best friend, Bess Gatlin. She is survived by two sons, Tommy Anderson and wife, Mary, and Preston "Skeeter" Anderson and companion, Francis Prewitt; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous caring nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers honoring Patsy will be Grady Reddy, Colton Anderson, Clay Churchman, Thomas Anderson, James Hopewell and James Bankston, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be T.J. Anderson, Jr., Charlie Churchman, James Roy Churchman, Mike Churchman, Steven Bankston and Roger Churchman.
Tommy and Skeeter wish to thank the staff of Naomi Heights Nursing Home and Cousin Nell Bankston for the wonderful and loving care of their mother.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Colfax United Methodist Church in memory of Patsy Anderson.

Grandma I miss you so much. I know a part of me went with you when you left us. I am honored to be your granddaughter and I will carry your namesake on proudly. Thank you for all the love, support, life lessons and the countless nights of playing Old Maid with me until we fell asleep. Grits with grape jelly will always be my favorite.
