Patricia Ann Arbelbide

Patricia Ann Arbelbide, 64, passed peacefully on October 27, 2012 at her home in Calimesa from cancer with her caring family by her side. She was a resident of Yucaipa and Calimesa for more than 42 years.

Pat was born to Edith and Edward Fuller on May 24, 1948 in Huntington Park, CA. She grew up in Hermosa Beach, CA. She was a 1966 graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, CA. She attended San Bernardino Valley and Crafton Hills Community Colleges.

Pat was a waitress and a manager for Denny's Restaurants in Redlands, Moreno Valley, and Beaumont for 11 years. In the past, Pat worked with her mother at her mother's Mode O' Day dress shop in Yucaipa. Pat also worked at YAPS and at the Yucaipa Elks Lodge as the Club Manager. Pat was a past president of the California Youth Soccer Association South (CYSAS) Yucaipa Youth Soccer Program that included the Aztec Club Soccer teams. She was a past CYSAS District 5 Commissioner for San Bernardino and Riverside Counties promoting and organizing community youth soccer programs.

Pat was an active Elk at the Yucaipa Elks Lodge No. 2389. She is a past Lady Elk of the Year (2002-2003) with L.L.O.E. and is a past Elk of the Year (2010-2011). She was a past Chairman of the Yucaipa Elk's Major Projects Purple Pig that raised funds for the treatment and therapy for children with medical and birth disabilities.

Pat enjoyed starting her day with a cigarette and a cup of coffee. She enjoyed life by reading, listening to good music, dancing, vacationing, competitive pistol shooting, polar bears, and being with her friends. She was a big fan of NASCAR, basketball, soccer, golf, and football.

Pat was a recovering alcoholic and struggled daily with sobriety. She was an inspiration and true friend to others struggling with this disease. She was sober when she died.

Pat is survived by her husband, Steve of Calimesa, her son, Jeffrey and daughter-in-law, Misty, and grandson, Logan of Mesquite, TX, and her son, Marcus of San Francisco, and her many friends.
