MCCANN Mrs. Patricia Trisha McCann was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 4, 2013. She was born in Jacksonville to the late Shuler Phillips Cox and Thelma Riddling Cox. Trisha was a vibrant person who had a tremendously caring heart and loved everyone. Trisha enjoyed helping and caring for others. Trisha graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in special education. She spent time as a special education teacher and was a certified nursing assistant and worked with those who needed help. MCCANN Mrs. Patricia Trisha McCann was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 4, 2013. She was born in Jacksonville to the late Shuler Phillips Cox and Thelma Riddling Cox. Trisha was a vibrant person who had a tremendously caring heart and loved everyone. Trisha enjoyed helping and caring for others. Trisha graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in special education. She spent time as a special education teacher and was a certified nursing assistant and worked with those who needed help. Trisha met the love of her life William Bill McCann in Columbia, South Carolina and they were married in 1984. They were later blessed with a son, Jeremy, who was the light of Trisha and Bill's life. Trisha often bragged about what a blessing Jeremy was and the joy he brought to her and Bill's life. Trisha was an active member of Highlands United Methodist Church. She taught the youth Sunday school program. She provided her love and support to the summer youth mini-camps and any other area that the church needed help. Trisha was involved in the Friendship Circle of United Methodist Church, Journey to Jesus Bible Study, the Wesley Fellowship Group and the food bank. Trisha leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 28 years, Bill McCann; her son, Jeremy McCann; her sister, Nancy Jane Roberts; and brothers, Shuler Phillips Cox Jr. and John Medford Cox. In addition to her parents Trisha was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Yvonne Cox. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, January 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Main Street Chapel, 4315 North Main Street. The funeral service to celebrate Trisha's life will be Friday, January 11th at 12:00 p.m. at Highlands United Methodist Church with a brief visitation beginning at 11a.m. Burial will follow on Saturday, January 12th at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Creston, South Carolina.
