Paul Berthiaume Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 7, 2017.

Paul G. Berthiaume, 68, of Conroe, passed peacefully from this earth to his Heavenly home on October 6, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He valiantly fought the disease for nearly 3 years and inspired us all with his toughness and bravery. He never lost his sense of humor or zest for life.

Paul was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 19, 1949. He moved to Texas in 1962 and never left the Lone Star State. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerard "Gig" Berthiaume and Elizabeth "Betty" Barry Berthiaume. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Hart Berthiaume, his daughters, Wendy Berthiaume and partner Stephen Ragle, Christy Robinson and husband Chase, Crystal Finch and husband Darrin, grandsons Scott Robinson and Chase Beasley, his brother Walter "Butch" Berthiaume and wife Kathy, his sister Joan Reiman and husband Ron, his Father and Mother-in-Law Myron and Marguerite Willprecht, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1967 and attended McNeese University in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was employed at ARDCO in Houston, Texas for 30 years. He was also employed at Rolligon NOV in Anderson, Texas for 10 years.

Paul was a kind and considerate man who was always there to help anyone in need… strangers or neighbors it didn't matter. Paul always stayed busy whether it was making beautiful handcrafted baby cradles, working on cars, growing a year round garden in his back yard, enjoying 18 holes of golf, spoiling his new grandson, cooking delicious foods in the kitchen or barbecuing his "world famous" brisket'. Paul believed that good wasn't good enough-great is what you strive for. A belief Paul practiced every day and instilled in his daughters beginning at an early age.

Family members wish to thank the many nurses, doctors and surgeons at M.D. Anderson Hospital for their exceptional and compassionate care they gave Paul during his courageous fight. They never gave up and neither did he.
