Paul Brigmon, age 73, of Old Fort, NC, passed away, Thursday, February 1, 2012 at McDowell Hospital.
He was born September 13, 1938 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Grover Brigmon and Nancy Jenkins. He was member of Catawba Falls Baptist Church. Paul was a loving husband, daddy, brother, paw, and friend.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Peggy Brown Brigmon, five brothers; Jack, John, Jake, Bill, and Ralph, and one sister, Mary.
He is survived by two daughters and one son; daughter, Kathy Wolfe, son, Christopher Paul Brigmon, daughter, Elizabeth Brigmon Taylor, husband, Robert E. Taylor all of Old Fort. Three sisters and one brother; Anne Gaddy, of Barnardsville, NC, Betty McKinney, of Barnardsville, NC, Bobby "Bud" Brigmon, wife Editha, of Vidalia, GA, Peggy Brigmon Stewart, of Swannanoa, four Grandchildren; Ashley Danielle McGhee, Samuel Jonathan Brigmon, Robert Paul Taylor, Christopher Taft Brigmon, and two Great-Granddaughters; Elizabeth Jean Brigmon, and Taylor Jade Brigmon, and a special niece, Mildred "Plute" Gaddy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Kirksey Old Fort Chapel with Rev. Phillip Wishon and Rev. Kenneth VanBuskirk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cherry Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
