Paul D. Swannack Jr. "Doug" (Age 70)

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Feb. 5, 2013. Doug was born July 14, 1942 in Spokane, WA to Paul D. Swannack Sr. and Marian Swannack (Baker).

Doug graduated from West Valley High School in 1960. He attended Washington State and Eastern Washington University and obtained his Bachelor's of Art degree in Education. Doug earned his Masters degree through Whitworth University.

Doug was a teacher for over 25 years in West Valley School District. He served in the Army from 1962-1964.

He enjoyed singing, playing his brass instruments, and sports. He was a part of the El Katif Shriners in Spokane.

Doug was preceded in death by his father, Paul and stepmother, Ann. He is survived by his mother Marian, sister, Sheryl Johnson (Lloyd), daughters, Teresa Barnett (Eric), Lori Lee (Travis), grandchildren, Shawn Barnett and Alisha Lee, all of Spokane Valley, WA.

A Memorial Service will be held to honor Doug's life on Saturday Feb. 16, 2013 at 2:00pm at Millwood Presbyterian Church 3223 N. Marguerite Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to you favorite charity.
