Paul Hugo Weyrauch was born on October 14, 1925 in Sterling, Illinois, son of Mr. & Mrs. Hugo M. Weyrauch. He died on July 19, 2013 at the age of 87.

Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marion Palmer Weyrauch of San Antonio, three daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and David Butler of San Antonio; Susan and Mike Williams of Dallas; and Nancy and Peter Mehlert of Houston; four grandchildren and their spouses, Sarah and Jim Sargent; SSsgt.Paul and Landry Butler; Spencer and Amy Williams; and Elizabeth and Jake Cole; and three great grandchildren, James and Will Sargent and June Williams.

After graduation from Sterling High School, Paul entered the U.S. Navy where he was assigned to the V-12 officers training program and served his country aboard the USS Bremerton. Following his release from active duty, Paul attended Notre Dame where he received a B.S. degree and went to the University of Michigan where he completed an M.B.A.
On June 19, 1948, Paul married his childhood sweetheart, Marion Palmer. He commenced his business career in Pittsburgh, PA at People's First National Bank, and then in 1953 he joined Gulf Oil Corporation's Treasury Department. Over the ensuing 30 years with Gulf, he was Assistant Treasurer in the Houston, Texas office, then returned to Pittsburgh where he became Treasurer of the Corporation.

Upon retirement, Marion and Paul moved to the Marble Falls, Texas area, initially in the Blue Lake community on Lake LBJ and subsequently to Horseshoe Bay. Paul enjoyed a variety of business and volunteer activities during his "retirement" years. He served on the Llano School Board, the University of Texas Business School Advisory Council, taught part-time at Texas State - San Marcos Business School and was appointed to the State Pension Review Board by Governor Clements for a six year term.

A man of faith, Paul was an active member and leader in all the churches he and Marion belonged to over the years. They were charter members of The Church at Horseshoe Bay where Paul served as a Trustee.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Church at Horseshoe Bay at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2013. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Paul's name to The Church at Horseshoe Bay, PO Box 8295, Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657.

We remember with joy a husband, father and grandpa who loved us well, was a man of honor, laughter, humility; a dog lover and doxology singer.
