Paula Schultz, 79, of Tivoli passed away January 6, 2018. She was born April 15, 1938 in Warsaw, Indiana to Erhardt "Cookie" and Dorothy "Dee" Koch. She was retired from the South Texas Nuclear Power Plant.
Paula was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted farmer's wife. All of the family will remember the phone calls of her singing "Happy Birthday" to them on their birthdays. She was loved by the community and filled many helium balloons for birthday parties. She was an amazing seamstress, loved to read and was a huge Nascar fan! So much so, the family knew you did NOT get in front of the television while a race was on.
She is survived by her daughters, Polly Haberkorn (Allan) of Canyon Lake and Katheryn Sanders of Crosby; brother, Steve Koch of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Shannon Williams, Justin Williams (Kristin), Michelle Haberkorn, Brittany Sanders (Matt), Heather Sanders (Trevor) and James Sanders and great-grandchildren, Kameron, Kinley, Gavin, Hunter and Preseaus.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Schultz and her parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Tivoli with Cindy Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Tivoli Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church of Tivoli Harvey Relief Fund, PO Box 327, Tivoli 77990.

Dear Polly, Kathy, and Steve, and the rest of the family. We were so sorry to hear about Paula. She was always one of our favorite people. Always had a smile and a kind word about everyone! She was so entertaining at all of the Koch reunions in the past! Prayers and hugs to all of you! Love, Kathie and Rick

Polly and Kathy, I'm so glad I have so many fun and loving memories with Paula. What a terrific lady who always lifted me up. The years that Mama has lived down the road from her were truly wonderful for both of them, allowing for so much "visiting" time anytime they wanted. When I count my blessings, having your entire family in my life, is among them.

To the Family of Paula, I send my condolences. Though I have not seen Paula in a very long time, I do remember the times growing up while in Port Lavaca.
Your earthly journey is over, the challenges were many, but through the loving Grace of God, the days ahead will be filled with beauty and happiness.
